Capital Classic

This is an "open" tournament. Any team affiliated with a recognized and registered organization may participate.  USYSA, US Club Soccer, AYSO, etc. CYSA and GBYSL are affiliates of USYSA.

In behalf of the Capital Soccer Club and myself, I would like to thank all of you that participated in this year's Capital Classic.

This year we saw several teams that visited us for the first time in addition to the friends that have made the Capital Classic "their" tournament over the last few years. To all of you I give my sincere thanks for all your kind comments and your support.

2009 marks my 4th and last year organizing this event. The laughter and celebration of players when a goal was scored or saved, or when a good play was made or a championship won have been music to my ears and soul and for that joy I am thankful.

I will no longer be involved in the organization of this event but my continued commitment to youth soccer will remain and I will continue to be at the fields coaching, officiating, playing or just watching.

I would also like to thank all the officials that supported the tournament. I know it is a thankless job and yet, all of you continue to support the sport.
