Chongeros played Tomatlan in the first semi-final game played tonight at Centennial Park in Carson City. In an pretty even first 15 minutes of the match, both teams tried to size each other up with no real opportunities for either team. It was Chongeros who opened things up with a goal scored around the 18 minute of the first half.

The first goal is all it took for Tomatlan to move the lines forward trying to control the midfield and leaving some open spaces at the back. Chongeros took the opportunity and scored two additional goals before half time to ice the encounter for Tomatlan.
The begining of the second half showed a more ambitius Tomatlan with more control of the midfield that created a number of chances for them to disrupt the Chongeros goal keeper. After couple of substitutions for Chongeros the opportunities were several for counter attacks while Tomatlan tried desperately to add points to the score.

The final score saw Chongeros scoring two additional goals in the second half, all in counterattack plays that dismantled the Tomatlan defense.
