The Carson City Patriot girls are set to start practices for the fall soccer clinic sessions starting on Saturday August 25.

The fall sessions are designed to have the Patriot girls practice at the level of competitive training required for the 2008 season. The practices will prepare the girls for the level of play they will undoubtedly encounter in the U12 girls division (under 12 years of age) and the tournaments the Patriots will participate in.

The AYSO fall 2007 season marks the rite of passage for the Patriots from the under 10 division to the under 12 years of age division where the Patriots will play as a young U12 team. All of the girls have turned 10 years old by now and will play games in the spring vs. teams formed with a mixture of 10 and 11 year olds as well as pure age specific teams with only 11 year olds.

With a steady progression from their first year as a newly formed U10 team in the spring 2006 and their second spring season already under their belt, the Patriots are set again as one of the most improved group of girls to hit the field. Expectancy has heightened with their success and improvement displayed in the past spring Toiyabe season and for 2008, they look poised to make another statement as a young U12 team.

With all but one of the 2007 spring players returning, team dynamics are well oiled and the girls will be once again the talk of the "town".
